Optical Gel 2
INSTALLATION OVERVIEW
• Deny pigeons, woodpeckers, mud swallows, gulls, and many other unwanted birds, the ability to roost, loaf and nest.
• Rememeber, birds are often persistent and clever. One needs to consider why the birds are in the places that they are. Nesting, for example, requires a slightly tighter pattern in the corners, etc..

• Supplied in ready-to-use plastic dish containers and are made to be invisible from below. Except for mud swallows and woodpeckers, they are NOT to be mounted on any vertical surface. It’s all about where birds stand, not what they stand next to.
• Affix to any perching surface (round, angled, etc.) with silicone glue or other suitable and removable adhesive or choose one of our two mounting systems; magnetic or zip-tied for round and unusually shaped surfaces.

BIRDS WILL TRY
TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO STAY.
LEAVE NO GAPS.
We know birds, from loafing to infestation, find very unusual things on which to hang out or live. These patterns are meant to be built from in creative ways. Just don’t subtract from. Here are a few species and spacing dimensions we’ve narrowed down as effective.Sparrows & Pigeons: 6″
follow general patterening
Mud Swallows: 6″
see details for mud swallow corner & edge nesting patterning
Woodpeckers: 6″
see details for woodpecker sounding, nesting & holes patterning
Starlings: 8″
follow general patterening
Corvids & Cormorants: 10″
follow general patterening
Gulls: 12″
see details for gull split-brick patterning
Some testing may be needed to determine best placement for other bird species.
Nesting Sites = Heavy Pressure
6 inch maximum spacing – measure from the center of the disks
Night Roosting Sites = Medium Pressure
8 inch maximum spacing – measure from the center of the disks
Day Roosting Sites = Light Pressure
10 inch maximum spacing – measure from the center of the disks
