Bird Barrier's Privacy Policy

At Bird Barrier America, Inc. we are committed to protecting the privacy of our customers. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices of the information you provide us through registering and shopping on our web site.

Privacy Information
BirdBarrier.com maintains a simple, strict privacy policy concerning your personal information. We will not, under any circumstances, release your specific, personal information to any third party.

What is a Mailing List?
A mailing list is just what it sounds like; an easy, automatic way using email to keep informed of things like that we think you will be interested in.

We collect your name and e-mail address so that we can send you advance notice of sales and events or tell you about new products and services. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time. Simply send your unsubscribe request to: newsletter@birdbarrier.com and type "unsubscribe" in the subject line. The Bird Barrier Droppings e-mail list is a "one-way" list, i.e.: messages will be sent directly to your email inbox. No one can see your email address or tell whether or not you are on the list; and by the same token, you can't use the list to send out messages, or communicate with any other member of the list. Any emails sent to the list will only be sent from the BirdBarrier.com Staff and will therefore contain information relevant to the topic of the list. We may, from time to time, accept messages from carefully selected professionals to inform you of new or interesting promotions, products or services.

When you place an order in our Shopping Cart, we collect your name, address, telephone number, business name, and e-mail address. We use this information to fulfill your order and to communicate to you about your order. We may also use this information to communicate advance notice of events or to tell you about new product promotions. If you wish to not receive these communications, please email:bbawebmaster@birdbarrier.com and simply write "unsubscribe" in the subject line.

Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. Once the user closes their browser, the cookie simply terminates. For instance, by setting a cookie on our site, the user would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. If a user rejects the cookie, they may still use our site. However, certain functionalities may be limited. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance their experience on our site.

Log Files
We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate uses. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Links
This web site contains links to other sites. Please be aware that BirdBarrier.com is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by BirdBarrier.com.

Security
This web site takes every precaution to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line.

When our registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number and/ or social security number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL (Secure Socket Layer). While on a secure page, such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to unlocked, or open when you are just "surfing".

While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online we also do everything in our power to protect user information off-line. All of our user's information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (customer service representatives, accounting) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Our employees must use password-protected screen-savers when they leave their desk. When they return, they must re-enter their passwords to re-gain access to your information. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure environment as well.

If you have any questions about the security at our web site, you can send e-mail: bbawebmaster@birdbarrier.com.

Notification of Changes
BirdBarrier.com may make changes to this Privacy Statement from time to time. We will post changes to our privacy statement, so be sure to check back periodically. We may also notify significant changes by e-mail or in other ways. Questions, Comments, or Concerns If you should have any questions, comments, or concerns about our use of information, please email: bbawebmaster@birdbarrier.com.
